This is how we test booths.
The noise reduction in decibels on a specification sheet often says little about the actual comfort of use and acoustics in the workplace. That is why we do not settle for numbers alone, but test the booths and pods ourselves.
After all, real experiences are the deciding factor. As an independent interior design specialist, we thus offer a helping hand in the search for the right solution for your office.
What do we pay attention to when testing?
Specifications on paper
We always start with the technical data: how does the manufacturer arrive at the number of dB reduction, what certificates and labels are present, and what materials have been used?Soundproofing
We test both inside to outside and outside to inside. Can you work undisturbed or have a confidential conversation without anyone listening in?User Experience
How does it feel to work in a booth for extended periods of time? We test ventilation and acoustics in different scenarios: focused work versus intensive video calling.Comfort of furniture
Many manufacturers provide matching furniture, but that doesn't automatically mean it's ergonomically correct. We pay attention to whether the furniture is comfortable enough for a short phone call and suitable for longer focus work.Aesthetics
Booths come in all shapes, sizes and designs. We assess whether the look fits the interior and identity of the office.
‘Specifications don't say everything. Always test yourself before purchasing a booth.’
